Review : HP 2407WPF
24 inch wide format display and great presentation features make the HP LP2465 a leader in great viewing. The system did well in our tests on both texts as well as graphics. It was particularly strong on display of photos and came up with sharp details and good contrast in its default settings. Its scores were somewhere in the middle of the range of performances available in this kind of high performing displays
Connectivity leaves quite a bit to be desired. With HP trying to target these at the enterprise users that might make sense. It has just 2 DVI-I ports, no DVI-VGA adaptor, no component video nor S-Video or HDCP support. That would have the enterprise IT managers worrying a little less but in home use that is likely to leave the user feel cheated. The monitor comes encased in a thin silver colored bezel and you could move around the screen quite well-get it higher/lower, tilt/swivel and so on. It has a on-screen intuitive display that shows accumulated usage hours.
Price is less competitive at $829 nowadays ‘bauce we have seen many cheap alternatives. Competition is with the Dell package mentioned earlier. But for a really cheap deal one may want to compare with Acer AL2423DR but then that lacks some features the HP unit has. Most notably the USB ports though image quality is comparable.
ReactOS An Open OS Beating XP
ReactOS? is an advanced free open source operating system providing a ground-up implementation of a Microsoft Windows? XP compatible operating system. ReactOS aims to achieve complete binary compatibility with both applications and device drivers meant for NT and XP operating systems, by using a similar architecture and providing a complete and equivalent public interface.
ReactOS is the most complete working model of a Windows? like operating system available. Consequently, working programmers will learn a great deal by studying ReactOS source code and even participating in ReactOS development.
ReactOS has and will continue to incorporating features from newer versions and sometimes even define the state of the art in operating system technology.
In short, ReactOS is aiming to run your applications and use your hardware, a free operating system for everyone!
Please bear in mind that ReactOS 0.3.1 is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature complete and is not recommended for everyday use.
Overall :- Its fine and have iso file sizing about +- 15 MB (at the time of writing). You must try it and see the difference . its free so why not try it . setup in 5 min max.
Bottomline :- Hangs tooo many time . My opinion is that you should not use it as a primary OS as it is in alpha/beta stage.

AMD 3500+
AMD 3500+ is the fastest single core available in the market by AMD.Even though AMD has a faster single core than AMD 3500+ which is 4000+ but it is rarely available.AMD 3500+ is available in 2 forms Socket 939 and SocketAM2.Socket 939 is dead but Socket AM2 has no noticeable performance difference over Socket 939.
Introduction
AMD 3500+ Venice Core (Socket 939) carries 512kb of cache in the 2nd level and runs at 2.2 GHz and it achieves this clock speed by having a multiplier of 11 and a FSB of 200.It runs at a stock voltage of 1.350v which is quite good so as to maintain the heat level and will also help in Overclocking. Overclocking is also favoured by the fab process AMD 3500+ is made of which is 90nm which is better than its precessdors.AMD 3500+ is available in many cores like Manchester,Venice,Windsor.Of this Vencie is the best as it has a revision of E6 which is the latest revision of AMD 3500+ which means better performance and more Overclocking potential.
Overclocking
We used an ASUS A8N-Ealong with a GB of ram in dual channel and reached a maximum stable overclock of 2.7ghz.As you people can see an overclock of 500mhz is quite good and after Overclocking AMD 3500+ can beat the X2 3800+ easily in benchmarks and came quite near AMD X2 4200+ in terms of performance. The 90nm fab has done real good for Overclocking and later on as new revisions come out the Overclocking potential of AMD 3500+ will increase.
