Review : HP 2407WPF

Hp Lp2465

24 inch wide format display and great presentation features make the HP LP2465 a leader in great viewing. The system did well in our tests on both texts as well as graphics. It was particularly strong on display of photos and came up with sharp details and good contrast in its default settings. Its scores were somewhere in the middle of the range of performances available in this kind of high performing displays

Connectivity leaves quite a bit to be desired. With HP trying to target these at the enterprise users that might make sense. It has just 2 DVI-I ports, no DVI-VGA adaptor, no component video nor S-Video or HDCP support. That would have the enterprise IT managers worrying a little less but in home use that is likely to leave the user feel cheated. The monitor comes encased in a thin silver colored bezel and you could move around the screen quite well-get it higher/lower, tilt/swivel and so on. It has a on-screen intuitive display that shows accumulated usage hours.

Price is less competitive at $829 nowadays ‘bauce we have seen many cheap alternatives. Competition is with the Dell package mentioned earlier. But for a really cheap deal one may want to compare with Acer AL2423DR but then that lacks some features the HP unit has. Most notably the USB ports though image quality is comparable.

Over Clock Your Graphic Card

In this Guide I will tell you how to over clock your Graphics Card under Windows XP/Windows Vista. First of all you have to download Riva Tuner from HERE. Then After Install it, when you start Riva Tuner for the first time it will make some registry info which may take some time. Then soon you get a screen like this

Then click on the customize icon under the Driver Settings

Then from the small menu which comes up click on the first option

Then from the window which comes up

Change your clocks according to your needs, don’t increase or decrease it too much, safe range is 50-100 MHz but some cards can go higher than that. After changing the clock speeds Test them and if they are fine apply them. Also if you want your Increased Graphic Speed to load automatically every time you start Windows check the radio button next to “Apply Over clocking at Windows Startup”.

Click on Apply and then click on Ok and then close Riva Tuner. Then play the game which you want to with better frame rates! Also if your games crash or you see some artifacts on your Screen while playing a game, lower the clock speeds a bit say by 5-10 MHz!

ICANN Going to test Multilingual Domain Names

ICANN is now going to test the Top level domains in 11 languages Arabic, Persian, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Russian, Hindi( ?????? ) , Greek, Korean, Yiddish, Japanese and Tamil .

According to their statement currently, only the ASCII characters A through Z are available for use in the portions of the domain before the top-level domains, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) said in a statement. A site with content that’s entirely in Japanese, for example, can have the initial portion of its URL in Japanese, but the URL still needs to end in a .com or .net spelled out in ASCII characters, according to the statement.

From 15 October 2007, Internet users around the globe will be able to access wiki pages with the domain name example.test in 11 test languages — Arabic, Persian, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Russian, Hindi, Greek, Korean, Yiddish, Japanese and Tamil.

Right now only the ASCII characters a through z are available for use in top level labels — the part of the address after the dot,” Dr Twomey added. “Users will be able to have their name in their language for their Internet when full IDN implementation makes available tens of thousands of characters from the languages of world.”

Coming Soon - Office Live Workspace

Microsoft Corporation will now soon launching its new service called Office live Workspace where you can Uplaod , View , Share Your Online Documents But Cannot edit the documents :-( .

On the Office Live Workspace front, Microsoft will initially offer the product with no advertising, though Microsoft executives said that it has been designed so that ads can be shown in the future.

The company is also not allowing people to edit their documents online, but executives stressed over and over that Microsoft is committed to being the leader in productivity software and that includes online editing. (Translation: We don’t think we need to have editing in there right now, but if that changes, we’re prepared to do so.)

Another key project down the road is integrating Office Live Workspaces with other “Live” products such as Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger, so that people will be able to view Office attachments they get via e-mail or IM. Google currently allows Gmail users to open attachments in Google Docs.

Microsoft has already said it has big plans for Office Live. At its partner conference in July, COO Kevin Turner said the product has the potential to be one of the company’s top three or four most-used products.

So let wait and see what are new things in it :-(
